This animation was done following the instructions in the tutorial “Model, animate and render a soccer ball” from the book “Houdini 16.5 Foundations”. This first video was done by using only keyframe animation.
In this second video, I used the rigid bodies dynamics engine in Houdini. Compared to previous 3d apps I was using before, the RBD is much more precise and efficient.
This is a third animation. I used the soccerball to break a ball using Houdini’s breakable rigid bodies.
Who would have thought a soccerball could break a wall??
